Movement I of a three movement suite for clarinet, guitar, string bass, and drum set.

"In The Dawn, the clarinet plays the part of the sun, slowly summoning the earth to awake. The guitar represents the other components of nature that respond the sun's rising. The clarinet begins the movement with a motive that repeats several times, then the guitar responds, with syncopated rhythms, close intervals, and finally perfect unison."
