Movement III: Evening Song

"This movement was written about eight months after the first two. I wanted to connect it with the two previous movements, so I borrowed a few themes from them. For instance, the clarinet's theme is from the 2nd movement, only backwards and in common time. Each person at some point before their head touches their pillow, reflects on how their day has transpired. This movement does just that. It takes the memories of the other movements and tuns them into a new song."
